For most young people, the start of college ushers in a new chapter of life filled with palpable excitement around meeting new people, interacting with professors, and enjoying newfound freedom. But due to COVID-19 restrictions, freshmen in 2020 are now facing the unprecedented circumstance of having to start their semester remotely from their homes. 18-year-old Mayra Vinod, a first-year student at Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication in Pune, takes us through a day in her life as a college student during the pandemic.
